Sunday: Catching up in Cromer!

Sunday dinner was eaten out on our decking, enjoying the sunshine.

We had discovered a week or two before going to Norfolk that other family members were also going to be nearby! They were at Cromer on Sunday, about 20 minutes drive away, so once we had cleared up from lunch, we headed over to meet up with them. Sounds simple doesn't it? However, with all of us having very intermittent mobile phone connections, Cromer being filled to capacity with holidaymakers,  and a what felt like a force ten gale blowing around the coastline there, the meet up nearly didn't happen! But after perservering for longer time than it took to drive, in order to get a car parking space, and then walking passed hundreds and hundreds of holidaymakers, we managed to spot our family within minutes of arriving on the beach!

Teen Two was delighted to get reacquainted with their pooch

and the windy walk which would normally have brought forth complaint after complaint, flew by with out a murmur.

We thought these "Summer Slushies" had to be tried.
What a novel idea!

Beach huts always look so bright and cheerful don't they? I loved this hand made fabric wind breaker!

Before we knew it, time had whizzed by and it was time to say our goodbyes.
It was lovely seeing them and we hope it wont be so long before we catch up again...next time with their new puppy...imagine the fun the Teens will have!

  1. Did you not go to Galtons fish and chip shop? What a missed opportunity! Nice to have you back, how are you uploading photos? I can't in my iPad.

Nope, we didn't try the fish and chips...we had just had lunch and then had the text to suggest the meet up. I saw lots of kiddies eating chips out of cute little plastic buckets..were they from that shop?
