Last night, after a busy day I was looking forward to putting my feet up...I sat on the recliner chair, pulled out the foot rest...and up jumps Milly and curls herself into a cosy ball! I didn't have the the heart to move her so spent the next hour sat at an angle!
I crocheted few more strips and blocked them overnight.
This morning I made this for our niece to say well done on her exams...
.... and this for her mum, whose birthday it is next week.
Simple stuff, and if they weren't already in the post I would make some changes, but hopefully it will make them smile!
I found some of this ribbon in my stash, so glued it on the back.
Teen Two loves to play with his Lego and has our old dining room table in his room..piled with the stuff! He also had one of the old chairs, but even after a recent repair....it just wasn't up to the job anymore.
We went to Staples this week to road test a more suitable chair. He fell in love with one..it was VERY comfy...but so was the price.....£200! So we moved on down the line a bit where they started under £100! He found one which he liked, reduced from £120 to £79. We didn't buy it there and then...just as well because yesterday we had an email 20% off online orders!! So we quickly ordered it and 9am this morning it arrived.
FLAT PACKED!
I hate putting flat packs together....but thought it might be something Teen Two could do and no doubt I could work out what he couldn't!
The instructions were vague to say the least! However, with some manly intuition, which must surely come from years of Lego building, he set to and got the job done!
Only a little bit of help was needed from me, to hold this that and the other in place whilst he twizzled away with the allen key.
Ta Dah!!
Ohhh!! Those cards are adorable! You've certainly hit on a good idea. I'm sure they will love them. Well done teen two for putting the chair together (a touch of his father I think) looks quite posh!!!
ReplyDeleteI expect you're off to collect teen one tomorrow, hope she hasn't had all this rain.xxxxx
Yep camp finishes at 10.30am so I am counting down the hours :)
DeleteThey have had some rain, but she hasn't said it was a problem. She introduced her tent mates to "the paper name game" they have had a lot of fun with it!
Well done teen 2 - flat packs are never easy
