It's another weekend round up, somehow the days just ran away with me again and sitting down for five minutes (if only!) to get the blog updated just kept eluding me, so here are the highlights.
Saturday morning was not the usual lie in as Hubby had to go to church early for a meet up to check the timber frame of our old hall.
It seems its not as bad as was first thought but some professional advice will be sought.
I cracked on with some baking for Sunday, starting with a French apple flan, using some of the apples I had prepared earlier in the week....
...I also made a gluten free offering which turned out better than I anticipated...
...and of course the left over pastry didn't go to waste, I have frozen the gluten free ones so as to ensure I have a little supply of desserts/afternoon tea treats for our student with the "free from" diet.
The free from Yorkshires were not marvellous this week, too stodgy, I did look at the packet mix available in the supermarkets, but at £1.88 a pack decided I would try a few more batches before splashing out on that!
For lunch I made a quick and easy baked Camembert, just egg wash a whole cheese and then cover in golden breadcrumbs and bake till golden brown and puffy ( about 15-20mins)
Served with cranberry sauce (or Ikea's lingonberry) bacon and crusty bread, it makes a tasty lunch.
Sunday was church as usual, with the house full of students again.
Abbey really plays the piano beautifully and its such a joy to have to have her playing in the background.
We attempted a few more Bunny Bondings over the weekend, and they seemed to be improving with each session.
Benjy is most definitely top dog, and pretty much exhausted himself with all the territory claiming and putting poor Flora in her place.
The chasing and attacks definitely decreased considerably and we were feeling quite positive about it all.
However today when we tried a small area of the garden, with newspaper laid down to make it a more neutral area, things couldn't have been uglier.
Benjy was aggressive from the word go and even attacked the dustpan we used to separate them!
Poor Teen Two was bitten through the thick padded gloves we were both wearing too!

So hard it even drew blood....this is not the Benjy we have loved for these past few months, its very hard to watch and there may come a point when we have to abandon the bonding altogether for the well being of the bunnies, especially poor Flora who of course is at the end of all his aggression.
Our next session will take in the bath of all places!
Obviously not with water in, but the idea is its neutral and not easy to get a grip underfoot, which should be slightly stressful for them, which will tone down any aggression, and possibly draw them together for some comfort...but if attack is on the agenda, well he won't be able to do too much damage as he will be sliding everywhere!
We hope some bunny loving is on the agenda soon, its heartbreaking to see your pets being hurt by one another.
This afternoon the Teens and I went to Ikea, we were in need of one or two things, so stayed for lunch as well....with a kids meal at £1.85, a free drink and free piece of fruit it didn't break the bank and was a nice treat, also means no cooking for me tonight as Hubby can have weekend leftovers!

I hadn't realised that the bunny bonding would be so difficult!
