The Unexpected Times That Create Memories

Last night, my blog ended with us anticipating a family game of Monopoly.
This however didn't happen!
A friend sent a text to say she was in town with her camper van and just brewing up a cuppa on the seafront...did we want to join her!
So...Teen One finished her bath hastily, and complete with dripping hair, we drove down to the seafront...armed with the bags of cheap doughnuts I had bought...and a couple of games to play.
We had an enjoyable couple of hours, chatting, drinking tea...playing games and of course indulging in doughnuts!
Unexpected moments are the ones that give our kids memories don't you think?

On to today....well it was almost as typical a Sunday as you could get in our house
Church, followed by  roast dinner followed by a game of Scrabble with Grandma, followed by tea before going to church again...expect there was on minor drama in the middle...

...when I went into the kitchen to get tea ready...I opened the dishwasher, expecting to feel a warm breeze from where it had just finished...and be greeted with the smell of fresh dishes...but no....I was met with smelly dinner dishes....the dishwasher it seems had finally died.
It has been on its last legs for a couple of years and Hubby has replaced various bits, which have kept it going well enough to do half a job....we should have realised something was wrong this morning when we found yesterdays dishes not cleaned...but a change of programme got it going again....but this afternoon it did not want to play ball at all.
So after tea and before church I had the miserable task of washing all those horrible dirty dishes...and Sunday always produces the most dishes of the week!
So....its time to take a look at what offers Curry's have!

Today's Verse:
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

  1. Lovely evening yesterday!! Impromptu get together are indeed the best. Boo hoo to the dishwasher!!! However it might give you the opportunity to buy one with a quick (30 minx) programme, which I tend to use most of the time.xxxx,x
