Anyone For Elderflower?

Starting with last night...I took Teen One for her first driving practise.
Her instructor had assumed she had been practising, as she had improved so much, so she asked if it was safe to go out without dual controls and of course he said yes.
She did very well indeed and there were moments when I forgot it was her driving!
The Clio is a bit of a pain though, it needs plenty of revs to keep the engine from stalling around first gear, and she isn't used to that. I am hoping any practise we do in the Clio will not confuse her, there is enough to learn when driving without the idyosyncracies of an old banger!
On to this was an earlier start than usual for Hubby and Teen Two.
There was revision at 7.30am ahead of his physics exam this afternoon.
Hubby dropped him off and his taxi brought him back.
He was the only one to turn up for the early morning session bless him!
It was rather good though, meant he had one to one with the teacher.
He had an hour or so at home in the morning when I decided to see if we could get his gym induction out of the way.
Sadly, although the gym was supposed to be manned, no one was there, so we will have to try  our luck another day.
Instead we went shopping for teacher presents, and then a quick lunch in Harvester ahead of his exam.
We had a bit of time to spare, so went for a walk around the local castle grounds...

...there is a little church in the grounds, so we went inside for a peek and thought how beautifully it was decorated to celebrate the 90th Birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.
On the way back to school, we took time to "smell the roses" and I tried to explain to Teen Two what that meant.
They really did have a glorious scent!
We are so fortunate to have this lovely castle so close to us.
Just as we walked through the portcullis,  I spotted an elderflower shrub and was tempted to bring some blooms home, I do love the flavour of elderflower, but knew I wasn't going to have time for the next few days to do anything with them.
But if you have access to some elderflower, why not try out some of these recipes...they sound delicious!
Today's Verse:
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
