An Apple For Teacher?

Gone are the days when an apple was a treat for a teacher!
Having seen just how many mugs and chocolates teachers get at the end of term, I always like to buy something a little bit different,  just a little token gift and something to make them smile maybe.
And if it has a practical purpose then all the better!

A visit to Tiger produced most of the presents, pink flamingo cellotape dispensers, post it notes in the shape of cupcakes, pens in the shape of rockets...

larger cellotape dispeners in the shape of hedgehogs....

..for the Head who we thought (maybe wrongly??) might not get as many presents ( as he doesn't have a class) some special chocolates....which looked rather lovely and we rather fancied trying ourselves!
If we could have thought of something quirky then we would have bought it, but he had to put up with the usual box of chocs...although hopefully these were slightly unusual.

For the staff room a tin of M&S biccies...I rather like the tin don't you!

For special teachers, Teen Two had picked out a couple of quirky memory sticks.
He then wrote individual letters for each teacher, saying how much he had enjoyed their lessons, how much he would miss them etc.
It was an evenings work wrapping them and getting the letters done,
and I guess that is probably the end of another era...or do college lecturers get pressies too?

I had a delivery today, my spare serving dish to go with my recently acquired dinner service.
I am very pleased with it, it was a real bargain on ebay and free postage too...the buyer didn't make much from this "buy it now" listing and after all the care taken to wrap it I wondered just why they had gone to so much trouble for such a small amount of money...bearing in mind ebay will take 10%.
But I was happy they had gone to all that bother!

For our craft tonight with Friday Club, we did a Fathers  Day activity printed off from
There was plenty of choice..."dad, stepdad" etc.

We tied them up like scrolls and the children went away very pleased with their secret presents.

Today's Verse:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
