A Week Of Firsts!

Today was Teen One's first Uni interview.
It was an early start to get to Brighton...knowing we had to find somewhere in town to park, and then get a bus or train to the campus...and all in the rush hour!
The weather was kind to us and the blue skies added a real feel good factor to what was already an exciting day.

The campus is set in the beautiful rolling South Downs...I wouldn't mind waking up to that view every day!
We were able to sit in on the talk about the course...which made me wish I was young again and able to do it myself!
The students were then sent off on a group activity, followed by their actual interview.

I was able to pass the time doing some knitting and made four beanie hats for the Neonatal Knitters
These little beanies knit up in no time and are much appreciated by the maternity units.

We were glad to see Teen One come back from her interview with a smile on her face.
She found it a very positive experience and it's now a waiting game.
The course is oversubscribed and most places are already filled, but as Christians we believe the Lord is in control of our lives and so leave the decision making to Him.

The drive home was very pleasant....Arundel holds special memories for Hubby and I....it was where he first kissed me!

The other "first" for this week is, Teen One has finally been able to secure a place with a driving school.
Having tried several schools, and been told there was a long waiting list...we were thrilled to secure a place with a local independent school, who have been going for years, on the very day which is perfect for Teen One.
So from next Monday morning, she will find herself behind the wheel of a car for the first time in her life...why am I feeling worried????
