An Expensive 24 Hours!

Once again...starting with last night....we really made it a special birthday by booking flights to New England!
Those of you who know us personally, know we lived out there in 1996 and have made several return visits to see the friends we made during that time.
We have always flown with BA, but having checked flight prices for the last two years, decided it was way out of our league.
We had given up hope of returning  in the near future.
However... a little bit of googling flagged up stopover flights.
If we fly from Heathrow to Dublin...have a stopover of 90mins to 5hours....then fly from there to Boston.....its less than half the price of a direct flight!
To say I was speechless is an understatement.
I put in all the details again thinking I must have made a mistake...then thought maybe that was a one way ticket ( and still less than BA's one way ticket) but nope...this was the price for four of us, return!
So....having checked with our friends they were able to put us up, we made the booking.
The Teens are ALWAYS asking when we can go back...Teen Two in particular, and of course if money were no object we would return every year!
This morning we couldn't wait to tell them the good news...and their reaction was as you might expect.
In Teen Two's own words....he has been "hyped" all day!
It will be our first experience of a stopover flight, having to make a connecting flight in time...but we are hoping, having chosen the longer stopover, that will allow for any hiccups.

This morning was of course Mother and Toddlers....

...closely followed by cleaning next door.
Following his fall in the kitchen, he is aching everywhere and his son is in every meal time to make sure he is safe.

Whilst today has been one that gave me a skip in my step....poor Hubby hasn't had quite the same experience.
He got  almost to work....then remembered he was supposed to pick his boss up en route....so he made a quick dash back....but blew his exhaust in the rush!
Despite getting stuck in town and motorway traffic, he was only 5minutes late for picking up his boss.
However there was still the issue of the exhaust!

A bit of exploration at lunch time didn't take long to show one part has come away from the other!
So its a trip to Kwik fit tomorrow!
It's been an expensive 24 hours!

Today's Verse:
...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
